Success Mahlaba claimed the 2025 SA Slalom Championships title with quick and relatively clean run that earned him a six-second victory over C1 paddler Cyprian Ngidi.

Mahlaba completed the course in a quick 85, 29 seconds, but two touches earned him four penalties for 89.29 total.

Ngidi’s one touch saw him end as the first C1 paddler in second overall, with total of 95.35, just ahead of Brayden Raw on 96.13, while Matt van Heerden will be ruing his three touches, fourth (96.41).

Waris Mills was the first women in fifth overall on 98.97. Tessa Harmse was second with Mills third from her C1 run.
