Following the decision to cancel the AJM Breede River Marathon, the SA k2 Championships will be held in conjunction with the Clean Water Challenge – Liebenbergsvlei on September 12-13.
The Breeded was scheduled to be the SA K2 Champs for 2026 and thus PSA have been forced to find an alternative. The organisers of the Clean Water Challenge – Liebenbergsvlei have stepped up and so that event will now double as both the SA K2 and the SA K3 Champs.
The WCCU and event organisers were forced to cancel the AJM Breede earlier this month due to extremely low river conditions, and also, ironically, partially due to flood damage from the massive flooding which destroyed infrastructure earlier this year.
